Wednesday
took
place
the
Downtown
Strategic
Planning
Meeting
.
The
business
owners
in
Downtown
and
community
members,
who
share
a
vision
of
expanding
and
growing
downtown
Billings
at
Billings
Depot.
Organizers
of
the
event
is
Downtown Billings.
In
the
beginning
those
present
evaluated
various
photos
of
the
city's
panorama,
depending
on
whether
they
like
it
or
not.
Important
moment,
people
tried
to
explain
why
they
think
in
one
or
other
way.
After
mini-groups
presented
their
ideas,
how
to
improve
the
city
center
in
terms
of
festivals,
parking,
safety,
culture,
bicycle
roads,
green-space,
kids-friendly
space.
All
the
ideas
public
could
vote
with
fake
money.
Some
ideas
was
very
bold
and
innovative
for
example,
move
the
center
of
different activities to the shore of Yellowstone River.
"Tonight
we
went
to
the
Downtown
Strategic
Planning
Meeting.
We
appreciated
the
opportunity
to
visit
with
other
business
owners
and
community
members,
who
share
a
vision
of
expanding
and
growing
downtown
Billings.
We
believe
Downtown
Billings
is
already
an
amazing
source
of
energy
but
with
intent,
we
can
channel
that
energy
and
continue
to
grow
as
a
community.
We
are
excited
for
the
new
possibilities,
in
regards
to
community
spaces
and
entertainment
for
all
ages.
