This Saturday (October, 14) as usually the second weekend of October in Billing
everybody could visit Harvestfest. Harvest Festival is a celebration of the food grown on
the land. Event located in the center of downtown Billings under Skypoint at 2nd Ave.
The
finale
of
summer's
Farmers'
Market,
Harvestfest
celebrates
the
season
with
a
rich
diversity
of
arts
and
crafts,
fresh
produce,
mums,
pumpkins,
pies,
and
the
final
offerings
of
farmers'
market
produce.
Strollers
experience
the
aromas
of
food-truck
fare
like
roasted
nuts,
steak
sandwhichs,
and
kettle
corn.
Live
entertainment
includes
fiddlers
and
dancers
performing
under
Skypoint,
the
Pumpkin
Pie
baking
contest
judged
by
the
Chefs
and
Cooks
of
Montana,
and
the
popular
Merchant
Gift
Basket
Raffle
featuring
a
tempting
assortment
of
items
donated
by
local
businesses.
With
an
interactive
children's
area
including
free
crafts
and
activities
for
all
ages,
this
event
draws
people
from
all
over
the
northwest region into the streets and businesses of downtown.
“I
participate
Harvestfest
already
second
time.
I
do
it,
because
I
like
downtown
effect
really.
Everybody
here
together.
Its
real
good
time.
Also
I
did
the
strawberry
festival
and
the
farmers
market” - told Jessie Hogsett. Her specialization is pure VT Maple Syrup and Products.
So
many
real
exciting
things
you
could
see
during
festival.
For
instance
Jeff
Schaezle,
professional
stone
cutter,
show
how
he
can
use
his
talent
working
with
the
pumpkin.
An
interview
with
Jeff
you
can
find in one of the video we add to the article. “a
Heart for Stone” is his motto and when you see what he has done – you easily believe to him.
What
people
real
love
about
Harvest
fest
is
seat
just
on
the
earth
in
the
heart
of
downtown
and
see
all
that
dance
and
attractions!
The
best
is
possibility
to
participate.
For
example
visitors
had
real
fun
while dancing with Native Americans musicians Family dance.
Amazing
experience
of
emberdance.
If
you
missed
that
opportunity
you
can
find
women
who
will
teach
you
how
to
do
it
in
facebook
just
typing:
Emberdance
Collective.
“Here
we
because
of
several
reasons.
We
want
to
be
more
active,
make
more
friends,
give
to
people
the
opportunity
to
engage
with
our
community.
This
Is
so
much
fun.
I
don't
know
who
have
more
fun:
the
audience
or
us.
But
we
fell
for
each
other
and
it
is
fantastic
feeling.
Even if person doesn't ever performed you real should dance its feeling so good!” - assured Jennifer Ries
Nota
bene!
Many
communities
across
the
globe
participate
in
fall
festivities
in
honor
of
the
harvest
season.
Harvest
festivals
are
held
around
the
world
from
Australia
to
Sweden
to
India.
In
China
the
mid
autumn
festival
is
also
known
as
the
Moon
festival.
This
custom
is
thought
to
hark
back
to
ancient
times
when
Chinese
offered
a
sacrifice
to
the
moon,
a
symbol
of
harmony
and
abundance.
Families
gather
to
eat
traditional
moon
cakes
and
many
folk tales centre around a moon maiden
